The Health and Aesthetic Benefits of Replacing Lost Teeth with Implants

Tooth loss in all its forms can be detrimental to your oral health. Losing multiple teeth can affect how you look, eat, and speak. Then there are the gaps that lost teeth leave behind, which can ruin your smile’s aesthetics and function. Dental implants offer a permanent tooth loss solution in Nashua, New Hampshire. From replacing one tooth to many, implants can make a big difference in restoring your smile’s health and appearance. Drs. Amanda Smith and Nicole Byer invite you to visit Nashua Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry, PLLC, for implant treatment.

What Do Dental Implants Look Like?

Dental implants are small posts made of either titanium or ceramic that support replacement teeth. We restore both types of implants at our office. We will use a dental crown if you need to replace a single tooth. If you need to replace multiple teeth in a row, we will create a bridge supported by an implant on each side of the bridge.

Implant-supported dentures replace all of your teeth supported by all-on-4 implant treatment or hybrid denture. Four to 6 implants will be placed in key locations to keep your dentures firmly in place when you talk, laugh, or chew. Dental implants provide a permanent foundation for your replacement teeth to give them the stability of natural teeth. You’ll be able to eat, speak, smile, and laugh confidently again! And you’ll have no trouble showing off your smile to everyone you meet!

Health and Aesthetics Benefits of Implants

Implant crowns, bridges, and dentures look, feel, and function like natural teeth. That’s what makes them such an excellent option for replacing lost teeth. Our dentists will customize your restorations to ensure they fit comfortably and look natural. Implants also give your new teeth full chewing power so you can eat all your favorite foods again, including meat, nuts, and crunchy fruits and veggies! Unlike traditional dentures that can come loose, implant-supported dentures and bridges are kept firmly in place by your implant.

What other benefits do implants provide?

  • Implants help complete your smile to make it healthy and whole again
  • They fill the gaps left by missing teeth to keep healthy teeth from shifting out of position and ruining your bite
  • By keeping your smile in alignment, implants make it easier to keep your teeth clean to minimize problems with decay and gum disease
  • Implants help strengthen and preserve your jawbone to keep your face and jaw from sagging
  • Implants provide strength, stability, and longevity for your replacement teeth so you can enjoy your beautiful smile for years
