iTero Digital Impressions

Digital impressions are a wonderful alternative to messy, uncomfortable putty impressions used in most dental offices. Patients of Nashua Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry, P.L.L.C. enjoy the advantage of our iTero system, which gathers pertinent data through the touch of a wand. In just three to five minutes, the iTero digital impression system provides us with extraordinarily accurate images that enable us to complete long lasting, lifelike restorations.

Hey everyone, my name is Amy and I’m a dental assistant at Nashville cosmetic and restorative dentistry. I am here with Brianna, one of our dental hygienists, and today we are going to be showing you how we scan our new patients as part of our initial wellness appointment. So, I’m just going to go ahead and start. By scanning the lower, blowing some air, by performing ITERO wellness scan, we are able to produce precise and accurate 3D models of the teeth for our patients with more comfort and time efficiency than ever before. The scanner is a high-tech replacement that uses a convenient handpiece to scan the teeth and gums radiation free, in a matter of minutes with little to no wait times for results. Such scans can be used towards procedures with Invisalign, occlusal guards, crowns, and implants and also allows us to avoid the mess and discomfort that comes with taking typical impressions. Here in the Invisalign software, it is developing a computerised approximation simulation of possible teeth position for Brianna so that she can have a visual of her teeth will look like at the end of her treatment. Another amazing feature of the scanner is that it is able to track previous scans and compare them, so the patient can see the difference in their teeth position overtime. Here we are seeing where Brianna’s upper and lower teeth made contact so that we can track it over time through her scans. Overall, the scanner is very efficient and currently about only 10 percent of dental offices in the USA or using them, so we are very excited to bring the state-of-the-art technology to our patient.

Intraoral cameras

In addition to digital x-rays, real-time photos and videos have become crucial to the achievement of excellence in patient care. Our intra oral cameras are very small and unobtrusive when inside the mouth. In addition to providing us with images we can zoom in on, the intra-oral camera system also allows us to share information with you immediately.

Computers in operatories

Each of our operatories is equipped with a computer, giving us immediate access to records, images, and other data that helps us plan treatment and explain it to you. Computer technology is also an integral part of the design process for CEREC® restorations and patient education.

Digital x-rays

The two distinct advantages to digital x-rays are higher definition images and less exposure to radiation than conventional x-rays. Friendly to our patients and to the environment, our digital x-ray system requires no film processing, no chemicals, and produces no hazardous waste.

VELscope

We are pleased to perform the most thorough assessment for oral abnormalities using the state-of-the-art VELscope screening tool. Using only a safe blue light, this device quickly identifies abnormal tissue through fluorescence. This tool has been recognized by the World Health Organization as “an innovative device that addresses global health concerns.”

Invisalign®

Invisalign® is one of the most innovative orthodontic treatments we have ever seen, and our patients agree! Instead of metal or tooth-colored brackets and wires, the Invisalign® system straightens teeth with clear plastic aligners that have been created using advanced imaging and software. Convenient, comfortable, and discreet, Invisalign® may be your ideal path to a beautiful, healthy smile.

Diode laser

Lasers are invaluable tools in dentistry. We use our diode laser in hygiene and cosmetic procedures as well as restorative treatments to expedite procedure time, encourage rapid healing, and improve comfort during and after care.

Radiosurgery

Radiosurgery is an innovative, low temperature technology that facilitates optimal comfort for oral surgery procedures. As the name suggests, Radiosurgery utilizes a radio transmitter to produce a variety of waveforms. These waves allow us to vaporize tissue accurately without bleeding to produce a “microsmooth” incision. It all adds up to more comfort, faster healing, and very little downtime or pain after oral surgery.

Digital Photography

Digital imaging is one of the best diagnostic and educational tools we have at Nashua Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry, P.L.L.C. Taking clear, high quality images before, during, and after treatments allows us to plan adequately and successfully carry out treatments to the desired result.
