When our doctors have helped thousands of patients through the years improve the appearance of their smiles, they have also restored their health and overall quality of life. Prosthetics like bridges are made from safe, highly aesthetic, and durable materials designed to look like natural healthy teeth. You can see patients’ dental bridges before and after photos by visiting the Smile Gallery tab.
Ready to reveal your improved smile?
Our doctors in Nashua examine your mouth and discuss your preferences and goals during an initial visit. Many patients are good candidates for dental bridges, but they do need some existing healthy teeth. Suction or adhesives provide support to conventional dentures, while dental implant-supported teeth are stabilized by a tiny post designed like a tooth root, surgically placed in the jawbone.
Dental bridges get their support from surrounding teeth. Like a bridge that spans two points, the dental bridge spans the empty space between teeth. Adjacent teeth anchor the replacement tooth, which is called a pontic. For optimal strength, the anchor teeth must be crowned. All crowns require the removal of some tooth structure, so there is room for this type of restoration to fit. The crowns are fused to one or more pontics, depending on your needs. As a single piece, the crowns and pontics are securely cemented to the anchor teeth.
Comfortable, convenient smile transformations
The doctors use the latest technologies to prepare, design, and make your new tooth. Instead of sticky putty and uncomfortable trays, digital imaging is used to make your impression. Instead of waiting weeks for your restoration to be made in a lab, they can make the new tooth in-house with the CEREC system.
