At Nashua Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry, we strive to offer the latest state-of-the-art technology to our patients. This allows us to provide our full range of procedures and services more efficiently and comfortably than was possible in the past. The following is just some of the advanced technology our dentists utilize at our Nashua office to improve your dental experience:
Restoring damaged teeth with crowns, porcelain veneers, and inlays used to require multiple appointments, often spanning weeks if not months. Now, with CEREC 3D, our cosmetic dentists can complete dental work at our Nashua, New Hampshire practice in just a single visit. This remarkable technology is perfect for those patients with busy schedules who want immediate results. Plus, because CEREC restorations are made of ceramic material, they are both highly resilient and biologically friendly.
CEREC, or Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, requires about an hour per tooth. First, one of the dentists at our Nashua practice uses a special, highly precise camera to make a digital impression of your teeth. The CEREC 3D machine then uses this image to design a custom restoration for you, matching the color to the shade of your natural teeth. The machine then mills an absolutely accurate restoration out of ceramic material while you wait. Using the latest technology in adhesive dentistry, one of our cosmetic dentists will then bond the new restoration to your tooth at our Nashua, New Hampshire office. After that you will be ready to reveal your improved smile to the world.
The restorations produced by the CEREC 3D system are both durable and extraordinarily natural looking. With proper maintenance, your restoration will last for years.
Micro air abrasion provides a gentle, highly precise alternative to conventional drills in certain situations. Using a special handpiece to deliver a stream of air and tiny abrasive particles, the cosmetic dentists at our New Hampshire practice are able to remove small areas of decay and other minor imperfections in your teeth, usually without the need for anesthetic. This technology allows for pain-free treatment of tooth problems in their earliest stages, helping to preserve and protect your original teeth before they are threatened by more serious disease or damage.
Micro air abrasion cannot be used as a replacement for traditional dental drills in every situation. If you have any questions about micro air abrasion, please feel free to contact our dentists in Nashua today.
Nashua Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry is proud to offer digital X-ray technology to our patients. Our ADA-approved digital X-ray system allows us to produce a crystal clear image in about 20 seconds. This computer image is much easier for patients to decipher than traditional X-rays, which enables Dr. Randall Viola and Dr. Judith A. Whitcomb to explain findings and procedures in far more comprehensible detail than previously possible. In addition, digital X-rays are significantly safer than their traditional counterparts, reducing radiation by up to 90%. This, coupled with the fact that no chemicals are involved in processing the X-rays, further permits our cosmetic dentists to provide convenient, comfortable, and biologically friendly dentistry at our Nashua, New Hampshire practice.
At Nashua Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry, our intraoral camera allows us to locate and diagnose potential problems within your mouth in their earliest stages. The dentists at our Nashua practice insert this tiny camera directly into your mouth, taking pictures of your teeth and displaying the images on a computer screen. Because the intraoral camera is capable of magnifying an image up to 28 times its actual size, Dr. Viola and Dr. Whitcomb are able to detect even the most minute cracks and fractures, and treat them before they progress.
