Restore Your Smile with Dental Implants – Implant Dentist Based in Nashua, New Jersey

If you are missing a tooth or several teeth, or if you have a dental bridge, denture, or crown that slips, slides, or breaks, you understand the emotional, functional, and aesthetic burden missing teeth places on an individual.  Missing a tooth can remove the joy from everyday pleasures such as enjoying one’s favorite meal or simply laughing out loud.  Now, there is an incredible and long-lasting solution for missing teeth:  dental implants.  Our implant dentist, based in Nashua, New Hampshire, is pleased to offer this remarkable treatment, which replaces the root of the missing tooth and restores full functioning to the smile.  (Our dentists restore implants and maintain existing implant-supported artificial teeth.)  Dental implants can restore your smile and your self confidence; contact Nashua Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry for more information on how implant dentistry can give you the healthy, beautiful smile you need and deserve.

What are Dental Implants?
Benefits of Dental Implants

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are composed of three parts:  a tiny titanium post, a metal ball atop the post, and a rubber O-ring.  The post is surgically inserted into the gums in place of the missing tooth’s root.  The ball rests on top of the gums, where it anchors the artificial tooth (the crown, bridge, or denture) in ball-and-socket fashion.  The O-ring is placed as a cushion between the artificial tooth and the gums, providing enhanced comfort.  The complete apparatus looks and functions as a natural tooth would, allowing patients to enjoy numerous benefits of complete oral functioning.

Benefits of Dental Implants

The benefits of dental implants are numerous.  Since implant-supported crowns, bridges, and dentures are anchored directly to the jawbone, they do not slip and slide like tooth-supported restorations, providing unparalleled self-confidence while eating, talking, and chewing. They also do not cause the misalignment and gum corrosion often associated with traditional restorations.  Dental implants can be used to replace just one tooth, or to replace multiple teeth – or even all the teeth in the mouth – in a total mouth reconstruction.
